BANK Bristol named in UK's Top 100 Restaurants
Following the release of SquareMeal’s hotly anticipated annual award results, BANK in Totterdown has been named as one of the UK's Top 100 Restaurants for 2024. Praised for its excellent produce, brought to life over fire by head chef and co-owner, Jack Briggs-Horan, BANK was placed in 82nd overall.
Designed to showcase the best-of-the-best in both emerging and established culinary roles, and to celebrate the incredible chefs and hospitality teams going above and beyond to give their diners top-class experiences, SquareMeal’s UK Top 100 ratings are based on a unique combination of in-house critic-led opinions and thousands of diner votes.
Appearing on the list alongside a mix of fine dining establishments and those who prioritise produce over plating, BANK is one of the restaurants on this year’s list representing the more relaxed, neighbourhood dining experience that has grown in prominence over recent years. Having already picked up a number of accolades in the past 12 months, including a spot in The Good Food Guide’s prestigious list of Britain’s 100 Best Local Restaurants 2023, BANK is fast establishing a strong reputation throughout the UK.
Dan O’Regan, owner and founder of BANK, commented:
“We’re blown away to be named in SquareMeal’s Top 100, and it’s a great feeling see our name appear alongside so many of my favourite restaurants – both locally and further afield. Recognition based on expert opinion is super satisfying, but to have diner votes in there too means a lot to us. We’re here to serve the community first and foremost, so to have so many people take the time to vote for us is pretty special. The launch of Jack’s wood fired sharing menu last year has been a real game changer for BANK, and we’re so proud of the diner feedback and national recognition that has come our way.”
