RAVE launches VR Coffee Experience, visiting the people and places behind the beans
RAVE Coffee will launch its brand new VR Coffee Experience on Monday 3 June, giving coffee lovers the opportunity to take a deep dive into what they’re drinking, with a 3D VR visit to the farming community behind it. This next level coffee experience is exclusive to the Cirencester-based roastery, and sets out to tell the often unknown origin stories of some of the world’s most celebrated growing regions.
Anyone who’s up for a coffee adventure will be able to purchase RAVE’s new VR bundles from June onwards, with each pack coming with three 250g bags of coffee from the same region and three pieces of accompanying VR content, along with a free set of VR Goggles. The project will begin with a visit to Mexico, before moving onto different locations every three months.
Setting a new bar for the coffee drinking experience, the Coffee VR bundle is the latest step on RAVE’s journey in delivering outstanding coffee for all, that’s kind to the planet and to everyone involved in the supply chain. Having worked ever more closely with individual farms and co-operatives to source its coffee sustainably from small-scale producers, this new VR experience will position them at the centre of the conversation, at a time when economic, social and environmental factors continue to apply pressure on these farmers and their communities.
David Webb, head of brand and marketing at RAVE Coffee, commented:
“With thousands of miles and many stages between harvesting and roasting, it’s too easy for the coffee growers to be forgotten. RAVE has always tried to give them a platform, but this is a big leap forward in telling coffee’s origin story. The tech and production value behind each experience is awesome. Anyone can fully immerse themself in their coffee for the first time, so this is going to be a real game changer.”
The RAVE VR Coffee Experience bundle will be available from ravecoffee.co.uk from Monday 3 June, priced at £34.95. The bundle contains three 250g bags of coffee, three accompanying pieces of VR content and a set of VR Goggles, with the coffee line-up and region of focus changing every three months.
